After skipping 4th of July celebrations last year, fireworks are back and better than ever. While not all usual venues will be open to watch the sky light up, some of our favorite spots are back in business and ready to display colorful explosions.
Rose Bowl:
AmericaFest at the Rose Bowl is the biggest show in town and sure to leave the crowd mesmerized with “oohs” and “ahhs.” Celebrating its 95th Anniversary, the program features TNT Motocross, musical performances, and of course fireworks. If you’re looking for a day of fun, head over to the Rose Bowl.
Hollywood Bowl:
If you are looking for a slightly smaller crowd, but just as much fun, check out The Hollywood Bowl. The iconic location is celebrating Independence Day with Kool & the Gang and the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra. Don’t forget to bring your picnic basket!
Huntington Beach Pier:
If you want to catch a cool, oceanside breeze, pack your car and take a ride to Huntington Beach. If you want to make a day of it, be sure to go to the Pier Plaza Festival for crafts, food trucks, entertainment, and carnival rides. Fireworks are visible from many spots: watch in your car, book a spot to see them up close, or make a reservation at a beachside restaurant.
Mulholland Drive:
Don’t want to deal with tickets? Grab a blanket and drive over to Mulholland where you are sure to see dozens of firework pop-ups. We recommend going early because parking can definitely be tricky. Enjoy the comfort of your car as you watch the entire valley light up in red, white, and blue. Be careful of parking tickets!
Hollywood Forever Cemetery:
Looking for a relaxed but enjoyable evening? Get ready to smile at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery with a screening of Dirty Dancing. The night is sure to be fun at the classic LA spot with a wonderful movie and firework spectacle.
