Top-quality Coffee in L.A.

Like in most big cities in the world, Angelenos are constantly on the move. And what helps them get through the day? Coffee! Los Angeles offers plenty of options – whether you want it to-go, or you want to slowly enjoy every sip of it with your friends over brunch. Everyone has his or her own definition of what makes a good coffee shop. To help you choose your perfect cup of coffee and find your perfect setting for it, we’ve highlighted the best coffee shops in the city:

  1. Alfred Coffee & Kitchen - multiple locations
Not only is it the most Instagrammable coffee shop, it has plenty of great choices of coffee – espresso drinks, cold-brew, matcha lattes – whatever you want! First Alfred opened back in 2013, and since then they’ve expanded to half a dozen locations all over the city. Alfred Coffee is so good, it’s expanded even further to bring a separate concept of Alfred Tea Room – there you can enjoy a lovely cup of iced matcha green tea.
  2. Blacktop Coffee - 826 E 3rd St, Los Angeles, CA 90013
This Arts District coffee bar has a hip-and-clean aesthetic, top-quality equipment, Straus milk and Sightglass coffee – and that's what makes this coffee shop perfect! Choice of toasts and pastries are available for you as well.
  3. Coffee Commissary – multiple locations
Exquisite interior design adds perfectly to the West Coast roasters of Coffee Commissary, serving cups of joe with foamy panache. The Burbank Coffee Commissary location is the only branch that has a full kitchen – eat away!
  4. Intelligentsia – multiple locations
Established in Chicago in 1995, Intelligentsia has grown to three cities. The shop makes each cup of coffee fresh roasted daily in vintage German roasters which give its coffee a distinct taste. The beans are sourced from remote places on earh. On top of it all, each Intelligentsia location has its own unique atmosphere.
